Brenda Zimmer - During her time in Hamilton, Brenda was introduced to a Still Life Course in watercolour at the McMaster University and continued to take courses when she and her family moved to Muskoka.
In 2007, she renewed her interest in watercolour lessons with Carole Rudderham. By 2009, acrylics were introduced and now she is enjoying the wonderful texture and colour that this medium offers. In 2009, The Red Leaf Art Guild was formed by a group of six local artists, Brenda being one. Their interests vary, but their love of nature and the beauty of Muskoka reflects in their work.
She has exhibited her art at various venues including Muskoka Arts and Crafts 2010, Palette Packers 2009 to 2011. I will be showing my artwork at the Rosseau Memorial Hall through The Sequin Regional Art Tour on Saturday July 30th and Sunday July 31th and at the Crossroad Pub and Grill, Rosseau for the month of October 2011.
